Chef Jacqueline Smith

Chef Jacqueline Smith of The Landing is a European-Maori woman from a quaint part of the Hokianga in Northland. She currently lives in the Bay of Islands and has been at The Landing since 2012.

Jacqueline’s preferred cuisine is New Zealand style garden to plate using seasonal, high quality, fresh ingredients sourced locally and enhanced with flavours from around the world. For a creative touch, she loves to include edible flowers and indigenous ingredients like kumara, pikopiko and kawakawa.

The highlight of her chef career was designing the menu and cooking for the Ex-President of America, Mr Barak Obama at The Landing.
