Chef Felipe Ponce

Chef Felipe, of Treetops Lodge & Estate is originally from Chile and married a Kiwi.

Previously at the famed El Cingle, a Barcelona Michelin-starred restaurant, Auckland’s multi internationally awarded Harbourside Seafood Bar & Grill, and a period with his family as Head Chef of South Pacific’s - Pacific Resort, Rarotonga. Additionally, his accomplished resume embraces successful restaurants and luxury hotels across Argentina, Ecuador (Easter Island), Guatemala and Chile.

Felipe’s preferred style blends Pacific Rim and Latin American influences which complement the ‘Estate to Plate’ dining philosophy of the lodge. Using estate reared game, organic and 100% pesticide free produce with indigenous varieties, the estate reared Manuka Honey -   he imaginatively combines and beautifully presents exceptional and creative dining consistently and personally to Treetops guests
